Today, as no different from other days, I awoke with a start at 6:30 a.m. What a awesome night's rest! It was the first time in a month that I have actually been able to sleep well all night long. We've been fostering a dog (Tiny) from the Humane Society and she's been staying in our room at night....Bad choice. Not only has her constant scratching kept me awake, but her terrible breath wakes me up after I've fallen asleep! Well, Tiny stayed outside last night, and I feel great today.
After Gracie got up, we had breakfast and then the run began. We had appointment after appointment to go to in town, but of course stopped for a tasty meal of "beans and rice" (Gracie's favorite thing to eat! Everytime I ask her what she wants for lunch, it's "Beans-Rice, Mommy.) We're preparing to go on vacation, so naturally the car had to be washed and vaccuumed out, the tank filled, and I had to get groceries for our day-and-a-half-trip.
What a lovely job I have, being the manager of our home. I won't say that I am very good at it yet, but I am certainly getting better. I've been reading books on organization lately, something that I fall short of in many ways. If I had all the money in the world, I tell myself, I think that I could be organized. Well, I better start now, because the money isn't likely to come anytime soon! I think I just procrastinate.
Ahhh! The joys of life. I hope that Gracie will be able to handle our vacation...
